Thank you for your last year’s generous donation to the San Jose Punjabi Mela-2008. Thanks to your generosity and support. We had over 10, 000 people, included elected officials from the City of San Jose, City of Sunnyvale. County of Santa Clara, and State of California, celebrating our diverse cultures.
Once again we have planned a wonderful and exciting event for our community, which will showcase our supporters like you. Once again, we would be honored if you would become one of our sponsors. Your donation in the amount of $3,500.00 will be greatly appreciated to this non-profit organization.
We will recognize in all of our activities, including main stage, sports stage, Web site, written invitations, and all other programs.
Please note that all of your committee members are unpaid volunteers.Your continued financial and moral support is critical in promoting our community, especially our children.
Please Join us for the Mela at the Evergreen College on Saturday, June 20th, 2009. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 7:00 p. m. We will have over 40 booths including food booths from some of the best known Indian Restaurants.
You are also invited to join other sponsors and elected officials for a special VIP recognition at the main stage at 1:30 P.M. or 2:30 P.M. Please ask for the following people when you arrive at the main stage:
This year’s Mela is coming up, and we want you to join us in the festivities. This year, it will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 9am to 6pm at the Evergreen Valley College in San Jose.
There will be lots of family activities, over 40 booths, food, entertainment and shopping. Also, Local and International Celebrities will perform to entertain you and your family.
Soccer and Basketball competitions will also be held on the same day.
Walgreens has been generous enough to sponsor part of the event by offering a FREE Medical screening, which includes: Total Cholesterol Level Checks, Blood Pressure tests, Bone Density exam, Glucose level check and Body Mass Index readings. Take advantage of this special offer for Mela guests.

Preparations have begun to have another outstanding San Jose Mela during the summer months. The goal of this mela (festival) is to celebrate the diverse culture of our community, and we welcome all to join us. Last year was a very successful event, and this year will be no different.
